Well... having finally moved in and being some-what settled, my new gaming room is now nearly there. There are still a few pics to be framed and put up, but these pictures give the general idea. My unpainted Kings of War army is on the table... which is a custom built gaming table I had made.

Something exciting

So... this whole blog, which sadly has not seen much action lately, was started because I decided to build my own gaming room.

Well.. I'm going to be doing it again!

This time, however, it will include an entire new house to go with it.

I intend on making it one of the best non-millionaire gaming rooms in the world!

It should make Lord Ashram proud.

Stay tuned!

Menoth.. by fire be cleansed.

I have finally been convinced to have a go at Warmachine, and while I initially planned on creating a Skorne force (Hordes), I actually ended up going Menoth instead, and I am really please I did.

So, here's my first painted mini - High Exemplar Kreoss!

I have always wanted to do an army in white and gold, so this is my chance. I did have to have a little Menoth red though just to keep any puritans happy.

Late War Flames of War Germans

So... yes I did sell a Mid War German army a while back, so putting this together has been a bit of a back track... but I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out this time around. The pics sadly had to be taken with my Iphone as my wife's camera which I normally use has no power... can't find the charger cable... apparently... lol.. oh well you will get the idea and I will post some better ones in the future..

So... here it is..

Wings of War.. a new obsession.

So.. Dan came over a few weeks ago and gave me a run down on a game he'd bought: Wings of War. The way he explained the game to me it sounded like the kind of thing I'd enjoy, although aviation gaming was not something I'd really though about before. Of course he had bought the WWI version of the game, but I prefer, as far as air warfare goes, WWII. So... I went and bought the game as well as 4 of the minis. 2 Spitfire IIs and 2 Messerschmitt Bf 109s.

Had a game, loved it.

However, I found playing on a table top or a plain green mat boring, so after some inspiration via a couple of Wings of War sites, I made my own mat/board to play on. There is a wings of war mat you can buy, but it's expensive and very 2 dimensional.

This cost me all up about $25 and took maybe 5 hours to paint etc...

I think it's ok.. sure beats playing on a plain old table top hey!

In future installments of the blog.. I've bought an entire Corvus Belli 15mm Late Republican Roman FOG army so when that arrives I'll start painting..

Thanks for looking.

It's alive...

Yes the blog is still alive. I've just been a little lazy lately and quite frankly work's been full on so motivation levels have been rather low.

But... I have, as you'll see in the pics below, made more progress on both the Tau and my 6mm Naps..

I picked up a bunch of second hand Tau a while back so still have to paint:

1 x Broadside
10 x Fire Warriors
6 x Path Finders

My cousin Dan also managed to pic me up about 8 or so cheap Crisis Suits which he'll be bringing over to me in July when he visits (don't forget!!!). All up looking good and I even got a few minor games in the last few weeks. very cool.

My 6mm Naps as far as I am concerned are all good. I did buy a few extras so I could make another 4-5 Dragoon bases, 4 -5 Cossack bases, and another 5-6 Arty bases.. lastly about 10 more Inf bases.. but once that's done that's as far as I'll take it and will move onto my Romans.

Thanks for looking..
